Elcee Asuncion Villa
Elcee’s expertise lies in managing for sustainable change, branding cultures and developing results-oriented organizations. She works and consults with top teams in various industries in aligning their corporate culture to the language of their brand. Elcee has a deep regional network, having lived and worked in Hong Kong for 14 years, before moving to Kuala Lumpur in 1998. For 20 years, she was the HK and Philippine partner for TMI, an international training consultancy based in Europe, during which time she took the lead or participated in various global engagements. Elcee is a certified Branded Customer Service Consultant and a WIAL certified Action Learning coach. Her other passion is youth development. She helped set up KLYS, a not-for-profit football club in Malaysia and sat on the board of AIESEC Hong Kong.
After a career in brand management, Tina combined her love for the outdoors with her professional life by becoming a pioneer in corporate outdoor experiential learning in the Philippines. She has since expanded her expertise to designing and leading team development, leadership and branded culture processes for numerous clients in Southeast Asia. Tina is certified Branded Customer Service Consultant, and is also President of the World Institute for Action Learning (WIAL) Philippines. She is the only Filipino certified by WIAL Global as a Senior Action Learning Coach. In this role, Tina leads the development and certification of AL Coaches in the country. Tina holds a Masters degree in Industrial Organization from the Ateneo de Manila University. She is an avid martial artist, and continues to find romance with the great outdoors together with her family.
Partner and Country Manager, Philippines
Joi has over 20 years of experience in consulting and in the travel and hospitality industries. Her various postings as Senior Executive/ General Manager for hotels and a global hospitality network have honed her skills in the areas of branding, service quality and the strategic and tactical sides of running a business. Joi has been instrumental in expanding the exposure and client base of MgtStrat in the Philippines and the region, as she works with various associates and possible partners. She earned her MBA – Regis Program at the Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Business. Joi took her Executive Coaching certification with AIMS International and Action Learning Coach certification from WIAL Philippines where she is also a director. She always enjoys a new challenge, tackling each one with grace and her gusty trademark laughter.
Val develops and facilitates various behavioral training programs for various companies in Southeast Asia. After more than 10 years of sales and operations experience in the travel and hospitality industry both in the Philippines and the US, She has since chalked up another 25 years in human resource development in the Philippines. Val worked with EO (Entrepreneurs Organization) for 16 years, the last 2-1/2 of which was as the primary support for the Global Board. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the Schiller University in Paris, a diploma in Human Resource Development from the Ateneo Center of Organization Research & Development, and an Executive Coaching certification with AIMS International. In her downtime, Val enjoys traveling, golf and yoga. Her passion for yoga prompted her to join Ian Paredes in setting up Yoga+ Express.
Luisa has extensive experience in human resources, banking and retail management in the Philippines and the USA. Her attention to detail and organization skills make her a valuable asset to the company. She is responsible for putting together a team of MgtStrat consultants best suited to deliver client requirements, or a support team for large-scale corporate engagements. As a “professional shopper”, Luisa helps maintain the creative and innovative approach of MgtStrat as she locates hard-to-find resources for many of our new initiatives. Luisa completed her masteral units in Human Resources and Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco. She loves to travel, find bargain treasures and discover new restaurants with family and friends.
Ian combines his creativity and imagination, love for the great outdoors and business management experience to create unique adventure-based learning initiatives that spice up MgtStrat’s client engagements. Ian heads the company’s research and design arm and is the main proponent behind the renewed ‘mindfulness’ approach of MgtStrat. He was General Manager for one of the Philippines’ largest dive retail, education and tour companies, and now together with Val Eraña has set up Yoga+ Express to ensure that mindfulness is actively practiced at work and at home. Ian holds a diploma in Human Resource Development from the Ateneo Center of Organization Research & Development. On weekends, you’ll find him outdoors looking for our next adventur
Leo is known for his creative design that use leading edge methodologies, dynamic facilitation skills and ability to transform concepts into practical daily speak. He has more than 17 years experience in organizational development and culture change, and has worked with clients from various industries in the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and China. He is a director for WIAL Philippines and is a Certified Action Learning Coach, Since obtaining his MBA from Globis University Graduate School of Management in Tokyo, his added a focus on strategic planning and direction setting. In addition to his work with MgtStrat, he runs his acclaimed photography course Photoworks for the public and corporations, creating more than 1,500 photographers in Asia since 2002.

Whether Janelle is guiding a group, developing a new program, researching and writing a book, she has 100% of her energy behind her work. Janelle has been consulting with MgtStrat’s clients in Asia since 1985. She has a number of areas of expertise, but her passion is in service and complaint handling, two areas she considers to be both central to business success and extremely complex while looking on the surface to be very simple. Janelle was the US partner for TMI and Tack for over 30 years. She is president of All Out Performance in the USA and former president of the Global Speaker’s Federation. Janelle is a renaissance person. She is a sought-after speaker and bestselling author, plays classical piano and is an award-winning photographer. A professional in every sense of the word.
Senior Consultant and Executive Coach
Romy’s expertise lies in strategic and performance management, marketing and business development. Before joining MgtStrat, Romy had a successful professional career spanning 36 years with 3 major multinational companies in which he held Chief Executive positions. Having completed the Management Development Program of AIM, the Advanced Management Program & International Senior Management program of Harvard Business School as well as being a certified Executive Coach of AIMS International, Romy has become a highly sought-after executive coach and has since coached top executives in various industries including Nestle, Globe Telecoms, Coca Cola, Abbott, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Thompson Reuters, Kodak, Convergys Phil, Fuji Xerox and Logica.
Rising through the ranks to become the Vice President for Commercial with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Philippines, and later Managing Director for GSK Vietnam/Indochina, Thailand and Myanmar, Nemy brings with him over 30 years of business success in the pharmaceutical industry. He attended the Ateneo Graduate School of Business, the University of Asia and Pacific’s Strategic Business Economics Program and the Accelerated Coach Training Program of International Coach Federation. He has shared his valuable experience as an executive coach with several of MgtStrat’s clients including Globe Telecoms, Kraft Foods, Meralco, Taylor Nelson Sofres, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Bellevue Hotels and Resorts, Diamond Car Rental, Jose Rizal University and University of Asia and the Pacific.
Serge de la Fuente
One of the pioneers in the BPO Services industry, Serge has over 40 years of management and executive experience in the IT industry. After graduating with an AB Engineering Degree from Ateneo de Manila University, he managed systems development projects for Procter and Gamble, Pepsi-Cola Bottling and the Herdis Group. Serge later widened his experience as President of Uniphil Computer Corporation and by setting up an affiliate company – Unidata Corporation in 1986, which became one of the first BPO Services Companies in the Philippines. He has since completed a Management Studies Program from the Asian Institute of Management and completed his Coach Training Program accredited by the International Coach Federation.
For MgtStrat, Consy does consulting and training in the areas of leadership development, facilitating change, performance and career management, branded customer service, and personal effectiveness. She uses an array of interesting and effective methodology and is adept at capturing the hearts and minds of her audience. Prior to joining MgtStrat, Consy had 25 years of corporate experience in learning and development, both in the Philippines and internationally, Consy shares her valuable knowledge and experience with our various clients as she helps numerous companies facilitate and manage system-wide and culture changes to adapt to current realities.
Benjie has been a consultant for human resources and organizational development for over 30 years now, having worked with companies in the Philippines and overseas. An expert in experiential training for leadership and management development, he travels the country extensively as he works with a mixed group of clients ranging from local and multinational organizations, cooperatives, foundations, and NGO’s. Besides this Benjie also has extensive experience in corporate planning, management, research and analysis related to management operations. He has facilitated numerous strategic planning sessions and is now a certified Action Learning Coach. When not leading workshops, Benjie engages in his other passion – travel.
With over 20 years of learning and development experience under her belt, Maita has greatly contributed her creativity and energy as a key member of MgtStrat’s team. Her ability to relate to a whole spectrum of clients and industries, and her expertise in experiential training, program design and facilitation, allows Maita to ably lead customized and well-grounded programs for groups of up to eight hundred participants. Maita designs experiential activities for our clients and has recently channeled her passion in cooking when she created a series of culinary challenges for a client. When not leading themed programs, Maita regularly facilitates Conflict Resolution workshops for clients. Most recently, she was certified as an Action Learning Coach for the World Institute of Action Learning (WIAL).
